LATEST PROJECT
Clean River Kent Campaign – Phase 2
We’re extremely proud to be funding the Clean River Kent Campaign (CRKC), the community group based in Staveley, Cumbria, in phase 2 of their water testing programme.
Phase 1 identified key sources of pollution and successfully trialled passive sampling techniques. Phase 2 builds on this, using advanced microbial analysis to assess contamination and health risks.
The project will strengthen campaigning efforts, support scientific research, and engage the local community in protecting the river. The aim of this project is to benefit both the wellbeing of the local wildlife and the access to recreation for the local community.
